I get that the church and Christians use some of their wealth to do its good things for those in need, but how does it improved the world ministering to the poor people the Western corporations are exploiting and getting rich off of? How much wealth is the Church sitting on it has stolen for two thousand years? Theoretically, the Church should be dirty poor since that’s how it started out.

That is the question that you should be asking those Western corporations. You could say the exact same thing about practically ANY religion, & for that matter, even any nation.

Is that’s Jesus’ response? It's MY response. And I say that as somebody who has always been fascinated with world religions. Sikhism's most important shrine is the Golden Temple of Amritsar. It is not called "the Golden Temple" for nothing. It is made of precisely that: 24 pure karat gold. Sounds like a pretty penny, eh. The Golden Temple of Amritsar

The Golden Temple of Amritsar What has a Golden Temple from the Christian perspective a false religion of worshipping idols got to do with the teachings of Jesus? All religions pretty much emphasize the shunning of materialism. Not just Christianity. But, back to the Golden Temple: You see, the Vatican gets slammed for being so beautiful because "there are poor people in this world." Well, does anybody slam the Sikh religion - or any other religion, for that matter, - for being so beautiful in a world with poor people? BTW, the following is about Sikhism, coming from a Catholic ( **CHRISTIAN**) website (hence perspective): Sikhism
