The Times made a good point in that Andrew Neil interview; Labour's main political rivals are committing suicide.

You’re a guy, not a guys. LOL, I think Carl meant to say "you gays" PaulsLaugh! Carl has never trashed America’s hidebound, two party system, therefore “you guys” means in this context “you Europeans” who may think their multiple-party coalitions are more effective. But Carl isn’t necessarily one of them. The problem ain’t democracy, it’s a general, unacknowledged attitude that we Westerners have worn everything out and don’t have the will to fix it. We keep hoping it will miraculously correct itself with no effort from us. In the meantime, we are only turning the volume up so we can’t hear the death rattle.

Hope it’s not Forbes .. she’s the just type of politician, pragmatic and popular, who may get independence over the line. And that’s just too horrible to contemplate.

Scottish Greens co-leader Patrick Harvie has said he "honestly does not know" if his party will stay in government with the SNP. Green members are to vote on whether to end a power-sharing deal with the SNP after it scrapped key climate change targets. Mr Harvie told BBC Scotland it would be his preference to remain in government where the party could achieve more. The Greens are to hold an extraordinary general meeting to decide the issue. The BBC understands it is expected to hear a single motion on "whether the party continues to co-operate with the Scottish government or not". … www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-scotland-business-68869020Difficult to give a shit tbh … both parties are fucking clownshows. /video/1

Swinney will stand in leadership election he has announced.
Forbes has said she will not be a candidate.
So that’s that over.
Our second unelected FM in succession.
Bit like the Tories!
