Yeah, but if we don’t let the rich fuck us we’ll end up like Venezuela or China or some shit. The rich like our virgin assholes. Perhaps we should charge more?

Here in Australia the wealthy have been encouraging mass immigration for over 15 years. The result has been the rich getting richer, stagnating wages, middle class finding it harder to afford houses and poor people finding it harder to afford rentals.

One thing doesn't preclude the other. Concentration of wealth is indeed a huge problem, and so is uncontrolled immigration.

We have entered an era of trade tariffs and sanctions that was decided somewhere above and beyond the office of president and congress. So that as a policy it continues long after Donald Trump has vacated the Whitehouse.
The rest of the world economy is crashing to previously unseen levels and those policies are not helping. We aren't allowed to talk about the real reasons why the economy is failing on a global international level.
Yet a competitive game of "chicken" continues to be played with China that will inevitably lead to a hot war. Because phone, internet service providers, and social media providers want to bicker over who gets the global contract that establishes world dominance of which corporation in which nation.
But that is all for show, a kind of over dramatized "kabuki theater" that is meant to distract the public from the real reasons why the world economy is failing. That we are not allowed to talk about.
But perhaps I might be allowed to drop a hint about the cause of it all. That without a sufficient number of people participating, the world economy and even society itself will collapse.
Can we at least agree upon that, because Heaven forbid that I should even darkly hint at the cause of the population decline. Which we are not allowed to talk about.
