Christ. What a psycho.
RIP.
Is that near you?
Is it pronounced, “Hey now”?! Always wondered about that.

Don’t know if you’ve been watching the latest Portillo railway series on BBC2. It’s Essex today(and yesterday). Coastal Essex … very interesting coast .. quite bleakly beautiful in a way. Essex has the longest coastline of any English county save Cornwall (so he claimed anyway.)

The Hainault Loop partially goes into Essex and there's a lot of farm and woodland around the area. The age of the boy has been corrected to 14. It's depressing.

The BBC is showing his face, so it’s probably not terrorism.

The BBC is showing his face, so it’s probably not terrorism. They don’t ignore terrorism. You’ve been watching Sky News Australia too much.

Deben estuary on this evening’s episode - 6.30pm on BBC2. Edit … oops, that’s in Suffolk.

Further updates to the BBC feed.
The 14-year-old boy killed in Hainault yesterday has been named as Daniel Anjorin
He went to Bancroft's School - the same as Grace O'Malley-Kumar, killed in Nottingham last year
The flag of the school is flying at half-mast - the headmaster calls Daniel a "much-loved" student
Two police officers suffered "really horrific injuries" during the sword attack, Met Police Commissioner Mark Rowley says
A male inspector suffered a badly damaged hand, while a female officer needed her arm "put back together"
A witness tells the BBC he heard the suspect "shouting about God, and whether you believe in God"
It’s times like this where I start thinking we do need more armed police. It’s already tragic enough but those officers put their lives at risk stopping that monster. He certainly wasn't going for their hands and arms.

I was at Charing Cross station during the last outrage and the concourse was swarming with armed police. Good lads, but I could not help thinking that with them over there and me in the middle, I could have done without a shoot out. Good folk the Yanks, but how having zillions of armed constabulary around makes them feel safe is beyond me.

I don't want them all armed, just enough for an armed response to this type of situation.

Cops should’ve blown that slime away. Now he’ll be out of jail in 10 years.

Cops should’ve blown that slime away. Now he’ll be out of jail in 10 years. True but he’ll need some great lawyers to get out in 10 years. Even without the dead boy you have attempted murder of two police officers.
