Most people in America do everything they can to avoid paying taxes. I don't see how Amazon is any different. Most people in the US avoid taxes within the US in acceptable manners, and it is among yourselves. Amazon are different because (i) they use various dishonesties to avoid paying taxes and (ii) its in another territory, i.e. stealing from other people. If you guys want to avoid taxes among yourselves by normal means, fine, but when you come to my country and use dishonest means to steal from me, I have an issue. For example, Amazon have despatch centres in the UK and a store labelled '.co.uk'. However, they use a loophole to claim that the sale was made in Ireland (because the billing entity is an Irish company) so they owe no UK tax. That, to me, is dishonest and they can go to hell. If I opened a physical store here and put an Irish company on the till receipt, no-one would listen to my claims that I owe no UK tax. It's clear that the tax is owed but, due to an immoral loophole, they are happy to consume UK public services and not pay for them. That makes them socialist scum. Don't all big corporations do the same thing --- Shell Oil, BP Oil, Samsung, Sony, Apple, . . . etc.?

Not pay taxes. As a businessman, I cannot blame Amazon for doing what many businesses do in order to save money. As a consumer, I benefit from the products and services these companies provide. And regardless of how many taxes Amazon avoids paying, they are still good for the countries they do business in. And as far as taxes are concerned, when people buy their products, they have to pay sales taxes. And their employers pay income taxes.

However, I think they are scum for using services and not paying for them. If their warehouse was on fire (no people inside), I'd be seriously pissed off if the fire brigade bothered to show up. They didn't pay for fire services, after all. So, while you support all of those companies because they are bringing taxes back to the US by stealing from others, I don't support them and hope they all go out of business and rot in hell.

Well, according to the article you linked to, England is doing things to rectify the situation. And even if these reparations don't work, England still benefits from Amazon's presence.

Welcome if you have any questions about the droidboxes just ask My sister gave me the Firestick as a present. And she gave me a free membership to Netflix and Sling TV. So, it will be hard for me to beat those deals.
