Organisers of Berlin's New Year's Eve celebrations are to set up a "safe zone" for women for the first time.
The new security measures planned for the Brandenburg Gate party come amid concerns about sexual assaults.
A large number of assaults and robberies targeting women at Cologne's New Year's Eve celebrations two years ago horrified Germany.
Hundreds of women reported being attacked by gangs of men with migrant backgrounds.
The events in Cologne heightened tensions in the country over the large influx of refugees and migrants - 1.1m people arrived in Germany in 2015, some, but by no means all, fleeing violence in Syria and Iraq.www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-42502984It's sad that a really nice, friendly German tradition has been ruined forever by the importing of disgusting people, which is fully supported by the left, who are equally disgusting. And another fine tradition in Europe has been ruined as a result of these disastrous policies to take in people from the middle east.

But, please, let's not be racist and blame this on migrants. We know these mass attacks on female revelers are because of white men.
I mean, yeah, there were hundreds of migrant men assaulting women in Cologne a couple of years ago, but a lone white guy did it in Frankfurt, and they say in Schweinfurt some drunk guy made a sexual joke in front of a woman.

I asked the same thing with the "Women-Only-Outdoor-Music-Festival-in-Sweden-So-Women-Don't-Get-Groped-and-Raped" festival, but no one attempted a reply. Gender doesn't matter until it does. Gender is fluid until it isn't. The needs of the oppressed group of the moment outweigh the need to avoid cognitive dissonance. The answer is STFU, we're justicizing, here! |

I'm confused, what exactly do they plan on doing? Wall off a few city blocks and only allow women inside? Or is this simply a red Cross station with police, etc where women can go to get help if they're assaulted? Or something else?

At the beginning it implies a distinct area walled/barriered off. Then at the end it says they can go to the red cross thing if they feel threatened or have been assaulted. Maybe those are two different options, or the same, I don't know. |

The sad thing is, I'm the kind of person that will protect you rather than being some lefty wimp who claims others are being 'triggered', thinking they're clever using their latest buzzword. When us sane folks warned that Germany taking such a large number of mostly young, unmarried males from countries where women were second class citizens, these very same "women's groups" called us racists. They knew what would happen, and they knew they'd simply blame it on "men". An acceptable target in their belief system. |
