His user account wasn't, he self-deleted.
Check out the thread 'Merkel on way out' on page 1 of politics. His status is deleted, not banned.
The only other reason he may have been banned was because someone was posting as multiple fake names on the shoutbox so I banned their IP. See the last few posts on the shoutbox. Was that him?

If he's only deleted, he can register again. As for the shoutbox, 4 posts came from one IP and 5 from another, all using other people's names, so a bit more than 'a couple'. What's the point of destroying the feature if no-one can trust who's who? So I switched off 'post as guest' (which he specifically asked to have switched on; makes sense now why) and deleted the IPs. Fuck em for damaging the board. If he's one of those IPs (which it sounds like), his IP is therefore banned. why can't I use bold, italics, quote etc until I edit.Because you are using the quick reply box. Can't find an option to enable that, and there's nothing in the help. I only get the mark-up options when I click 'Reply' or 'Quote', not with the Quick Reply box. Can you get me a screenshot of it from v2 please? |
