Did you ever consider that covid might be part of Earth's defense mechanism like ebola or marburg
to either keep you from sticking your nose where it doesn't belong and or a population control mechanism.
The message is quite clear, stay out of forbidden places and your population
will be much less likely to be decimated on a global scale.
Which is not to say that it can't happen anyway when population increases above a certain threshold
along with living conditions and resources dipping below a certain threshold.
The checks and balances of an entire inhabited planet were once only the territory of deities
however it is something that governments world wide will have to understand if mankind is to continue to survive.
