Jill still maintains that the Syrian refugee crisis was caused by climate change. She started her own chat room right? Is she still using it? I guess so. I’m not allowed in.

Jill still maintains that the Syrian refugee crisis was caused by climate change. Not as farfetched as it looks. Ignoring the fact that every drought, flood, unusual weather event will be blamed on climate change by somebody (most often ironically by deniers) it is undeniable that over the last 20-50 years there has been substantial climate shifts in various regions (eg farmers having to harvest earlier than usual, having to plant different varieties in farms 100+ years old). There was a drought in Syria 10 years ago which started the movement of people. Caused by climate change? Impossible to tell.

There’s other countries who experienced drought. I think the war had something to do with it. I was willing to concede that drought was a factor in worsening conditions in Syria. But for Jill it was the sole reason for the war. I kid you not, we had arguments about it. She’s a twit and I hope she stays gone.

One of the best was "53% isn't a majority." I can't remember the exact words or who said it - for all my faults at least I am not sad enough to keep a record of comments made by internet strangers. That sounds like something "Six_String_Diablo" would have said.
