Yes but it was mandatory and he was just a kid. He looks insane. Yeah, he’s German. Rather humourless too. But better than Francis, who is an Argentinian soccer lout.

Was Benedict the Hitler youth? Yes. Another reason for Pistachiobrain to prefer Benedict to Francis. Kardinal Ratzinger is a Christian fundamentalist, as his name suggests. He has always been full of envy of the political aspirations of radical Islam. Of course, he is a fan.

Yes but it was mandatory and he was just a kid. He looks insane. He is insane. He lacks every quality to be a spiritual leader in the world. See, the Popes are also highly regarded and respected in e.g. the Muslim world. And Benedict sure stained the reputation of that institution. Francis has a lot to make up for. ETA: Ratzinger used to discuss with Habermas and he was quite brilliant in his youth. But somehow, with the Pope Jean Paul the Second, he turned radical. He was the driving force behind Jean Paul's radical views. In his youth, he was an enthusiastic supporter of the Second Vatican Council that wanted reforms. He ended up agreeing with radical Islam. That is quite a downfall. I'll repeat: Many of Christian fundamentalists and Islamists are actually alike, they resemble each other far more than they are different. Starting with misogyny and hate of all liberties. www.spiegel.de/panorama/gesellschaft/50-jahre-vatikanisches-konzil-der-wandel-des-joseph-ratzinger-a-859018.htmlwww.deepl.com/translator

Me too.
I like his name, I was always a fan of Francis of Assisi, but that wore off really fast.

Both of them looked the other over the pedophile scandals, but I think Benedict is more directly culpable. Neither are a bargain.
