It’s only offensive if you want it to be. The Diceman is just kidding around. Funny guy.

Yeah, some of it's kinda funny.
But what's more overpowering is advocating violence and wishing death on people. He's too beneath me to feel offended. It's just crass stuff, not "kidding around" when you joke about killing people. If he joked about lynching blacks tell me how far he'd get?
The subtext here is, this guy hates homosexual intercourse. Or it scares him.

I just feel Clay is satirizing the hypocrisies/prejudices in society by calling it out with his blunt confronting humor. This is not so much about generalizing gay persona, but if being offensive is funny when doing it, then why not milk it for all its worth. Nothing is sacred and others fall prey to his brand of crass humor too.
If people go ahead and believe he is right, then that is on them.

Oh, anything is fair game for comedy.
I think in Canada that skit would be banned for hate speech.
But I'm all for free speech and comedians can slaughter any sacred cow - including gay folks.
I'm just wondering how far he'd get if he joked about lynching blacks.

That is a fair point, yet sexuality operates on the abstract where race is more objective. This is hypocrisy within itself, but it seems more acceptable to mock a gay black guys sexuality, than to mock his skin color.
At the end of the day though, we perhaps could ask why we are making fun of "either" of these things and finding humor in it?
Clay's brand of humor just represents an era when not being pc wasn't stirring up outrage and promoting it. You liked it or not and if one got offended, you just walked away from it without trying to cancel it out. People are going to think what they want regardless.

Okay, I'm gay. So I admit I get a little angry when I listen to Clay's homophobic jokes. And then you see the straight fools in the audience lapping it up because it confirms their own prejudices against gays. Yet at the same time I do think it's funny.
Bottom line, I want to live in a society where Clay can make those kind of jokes.

It’s only offensive if you want it to be. The Diceman is just kidding around. Funny guy. That goes for every single post by everyone on every board or for everything in life. I may use that as my signature. Fuck their feelings.

I managed to offend the gays on Filmboards by saying Heterosexuality is more productive but Homosexuality means you can still act like a horny teen in your 60s.
