I imagine most people would say "Yes. It is obvious. Look at what he accomplished. Duh." He was from numerous reports an "asshole". That does not mean he was not a genius. Here is an article that contemplates this question. In the final analysis the author admits he is not qualified to say if Jobs was a genius or not. www.actuallyitsrobpentydotorg.com/yeah-steve-jobs-is-an-asshole-but-is-he-a-genius/This article made me think of this video which shows a man who is a master of deflection and a skillful orator when he is criticized- That is from 1997. The engineer who questions Jobs is a really smart guy who is talked down to like an errant child being lectured by a schoolteacher. This video generated tons of likes and many comments about what a "genius" Steve Jobs is, how charismatic he is, etc. Was he a genius? Or was he a charismatic salesman and successful confidence trickster? Or a combination?

Some scientists (namely Feynman and also Einstein, I think) had the approach of learning new things as if imagining explaining them to children. Maybe Jobs took that out of his imagination.

The reason for Apple's success is due to the very sleek design of its products, which was all down to Sir Jony Ive - a Brit. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jony_IveJobs' main skill was taking the credit for it.

Genius is going too far. That said, Jobs was a great salesman of a product whose time had come.
