I hate it when the last person to use the vacuum cleaner just pulls it out of the wall without switching it off first, so when I plug it in it starts off before i'm ready and gives me such a fright. I have to angrily switch it off, then switch it on again. It's so inconsiderate, who does that?!

So who is doing that?

Just got a new vacuum and I can't believe I put up with my crappy one for so long. It's a Shark brand. $180 or something but worth it! And the delivery service actually brought it to my front door. Today was a good day!
Eat it, Millard!

weird. i've never not turned ours off before unplugging it. We have a couple of Dysons, a plug in one for downstairs and a V10 "stick" rechargeable one for upstairs which was a great buy. A charge gives you about 40 minutes hoovering time and it picks up as good as a mains one which is rare, all the ones I had before never picked up properly. The Dyson stuff is dear but superb quality, you get what you pay for and bits can be replaced singularly rather than have to replace the whole thing if one part goes wrong.

Same with public services but you are complaining about the principle on the other thread.

Eeeeeeeey, it's the vacuuuuuuuuum cleaner bluuuuuuuuues! The last vacuum I bought was a cordless Dyson. I could have spent a couple hundred less and got a cheaper vacuum, but because this one was a Dyson Motorhead cordless, I had to get it. And it does sound a bit like Lemmy when it is running.

I'm using a Bissel and I like having a vacuum that uses a bag. More sanitary. It was cheap, but it gets the job done
