But I have real problems with an acoustical version of a song like "Word Up". That song, more than most, was more about the musicianship, not the vocals.

In a better world, these guys would've been huge. As it is, they were the 'kings' of the garage rock revival scene of the Eighties and the pride of Rochester, NY. They covered obscure garage rock songs from the Sixties (never going beyond 1966) and did some great original songs as well.
