It's something I've always done to keep board activity up when someone goes from liking and replying to stuff to lurking only. Here's a classic example of my work: imdb1.freeforums.net/thread/10017/yggdrasil-come-backAs you can see by the end, it was effective. As you can also see by the occasional alpha-numeric line of gibberish, the Admin here at one point had a uniquely babel-y view of how to code the emoticons which he's since revamped into normal human language, hence all the (otherwise) inexplicable alphabetical detritus in the thread, fyi. |

Dunno what's with the skulking and lurking and scurrying and hiding, but it's not as though you must consent for this to happen.
