who are all these guests? From another board? why do they read this board and not participate? It's bots, not people at all but software, one person. The fake guests seem to be attached to Monkeys' sign in so he could be the one running the software (doubt it -- he's clueless), anyone could. There was a certain poster on IMDb who really liked to jack up the view numbers of threads he liked and wanted people to read, so would click away, ad nauseam. He said it gave him power. This is a person who lives in a place where electricity is cut sometimes due to state controlled outages. A couple months ago there were ~200 rather than 1,200 "guests" in a 24 hour period here. I'd bet Daniel Craig's sweet ass this same certain poster was affected by a day+ long region or nationwide state-controlled power outage that day. Some people's idea of a hobby, I just don't get. ETA: Lol, it exploded up to 123 Guests. This certain poster's way of saying "You are correct, Gabrielle." He can't register here; he's perma-banned. When he found out about my little ProBoards, years ago, and it started happening there, I clicked onto the listing for the current guests (the "guests" number is in color and clickable when you're an admin) and it opened a pulldown menu of IPs, one for each guest. I ran about two dozen through an IP locator site to prove my point, and every single one was a fake, not even as good as an individual on a half-decent VPN, just garbage results from cheap VPN mass servers. All fakes, every one.

It just shows the number of clicks on the home page. Every time you view the home page before you log in, you're registered as a guest.

Why not just stay logged in rather than continuously signing in and else.? They might be shutting down the computer off and on during the day. Also, I don't post on my phone, but that might explain it as well.

You can't be logged into one and try to log into another, so you have to log out from the first before proceeding.
