![[angel]](http://storage2.proboards.com/6870873/images/BmKxolmYBptvWSjvMtMk.gif) A snippet from the article below. "If you want to achieve maximum health, here are a few things that you should do: exercise regularly, eat nutritious and minimally processed foods, drop those extra pounds -- and pray. That's right, regular prayer and meditation has been shown in numerous scientific studies to be an important factor in living longer and staying healthy." Very interesting stuff.

Oh what a load of codswallop. They could argue that those who pray have a healthier lifestyle anyway, but arguing that praying causes better health shows a clear lack of understanding of the difference between correlation and causation. Not too bright, whoever you are quoting.

How do you pray? Do you say the rosary or certain prayers during the day? Do you keep a journal? And when you pray, do you ask for things from God to make your life better or is it just a general conversation about the meaning of life? Do you think that God will sometimes speak to you?

Not too bright, whoever you are quoting. People who are disciplined enough to practice prayer or meditation ritual, even if self-devised, will probably be more disciplined in other areas as well such as diet and healthcare. I'm not sure if Blade is talking about the practice itself lending health benefits, but he could be implying that praying specifically to the Christian God is beneficial because God directly keeps the faithful who calls on him healthy.

S/he's citing an article that says that praying causes good health. It's total rubbish. Here's my study: - it's lighter when there are more people around - it's darker when there are fewer people around Conclusion: PEOPLE CAUSE LIGHT!

People who regularly mediate, which is just like prayer, will often have better health. This is not due to the power of the prayer or mediation, but the mediative lifestyle itself might be healthier. I daresay folks who party out on Saturdays, then pray on Sundays are no more healthy than the partier who does not pray.

Tedious work all week (which I am working my way out of) and then squash and/or bicycling at the weekend.

Pray for what? Do people pray selectively, if they want this God's things help, even if they don't believe.

That might explain why people who practice Far Eastern philosophy and religion are generally much more healthier than American Christians, especially right-wing MAGA Christians. I mean, look at their Lord and Savior (the MAGA Lord and Savior).
