Thoughts?
My opinion, is that the Anglo-Saxons would have been repelled by the free and unconquered Celts. And Great Britain when have become a unified Celtic nation. Much like Germany, France and Italy unified towards the end of the millennium, there would have been a move towards consolidation. There would be no separate Scotland and Wales, just as there is no independent Prussia or Tuscany now. Ireland is a separate issue.

That's definitely one possibility.
Or the Vikings would have had an easier time when they invaded and become the ruling power. They may have even repelled the Normans as a result and we wouldn't have our weird u's in our language!

That's definitely one possibility. Or the Vikings would have had an easier time when they invaded and become the ruling power. The Vikings could’ve launch their New World explorations earlier before the Plague stopped them. |

*Don't ask me for stats. That's a sloppy estimate. My point is Anglo-Saxons have always and still dominate the U.S.

If they don’t boast about it then how do you know they think this makes them better? And “American” is a nationality, not an ethnicity. I certainly don’t think my substantial British DNA makes me better. It’s cool, but not better. |
