Just read that here: bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-62126413Coincidentally, I was just watching a David Attenborough from 20 years ago and he was said the human population is 6 billion. 2 billion growth (33%) in 20 years.

Hopefully when your children are grandparents, they can explain why you brought children into this overpopulated, over heated environmental shithole planet and did nothing to leave them any hope or chance at prosperity. Parents should learn to love all their offspring, present and future, as they love themselves. They right never speaks of those family values. Luke 23:29 Look, the days are coming when people will say, ‘Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore, and breasts that never nursed.’ 30 At that time ‘ they will say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!”’ 31 For if men do these things while the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?Looks like I’m blessed. I’ve no children to weep for.

I’ve no children to weep for. In the west birthrates have been at or below replacement level for decades. If you wish to curb population growth that's fine, but go to the countries where people have an average of 5, 6 or 7 kids. Promote better education for women, the legal right and financial access to both birth control and abortion. Those things are shown to reduce birthrates dramatically over time. Don't complain to me and my relatively small family living in a country with sub-replacement birthrates.

I think time has run out and you can stuff your ubiquitous to the male species of blaming women for the men fuck ups. Remember, us girls only got the vote in 1920. What have you guys been doing with the place since God created the Universe? Well, the ladies didn’t invent war, slavery, forced fame, misogyny, racism or wholesale destruction of the planet for cheap gasoline. Wif-men don’t seem to be as greedy as men-men. You guys want one more shot to finally bring on the final destruction of the planet? You’re way further along than you think. Thanks, guys.

So you...don't want to promote education for women in the developing world, and you don't want them to have access to abortion and birth control? Women are never happy.

Looks like the link I posted doesn't work, so here it is again: www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-62126413Some interesting snippets: - But population growth is not as rapid as it used to be. It is now at its slowest rate since 1950 and is set to peak, says the UN, around the 2080s at about 10.4bn though some demographers believe that could happen even sooner. - More than half the growth we will see in the next 30 years will happen in just eight countries - the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, the Philippines and Tanzania. - At the same time, some of the world's most developed economies are already seeing population decline as fertility rates fall below 2.1 children per woman, which is known as the "replacement rate". In 61 countries, the report says, populations will decline by at least 1% by 2050. - With one of the lowest fertility rates in the world (at 1.15 children per woman), China has announced that its population is due to start declining next year - much earlier than previously thought. That is despite the country abandoning its one child policy in 2016 and introducing incentives for couples to have two or more children. - As India's population continues to grow it will almost certainly overtake China as the country with the biggest population in the world.Ayatollah is right - focus on certain countries (the 8 named would be a good start) and a massive difference can be made. That requires us to invest in those countries into education programmes. In the case of Ethiopia, I would assume they have a lot of children because the threat of dying from famine is still real, so agricultural programmes are needed. In both cases, cutting overseas aid budgets does not help. Will it actually peak and then decline, though? As education gets through, yes that's certainly possible. Or maybe it will just slow down but keep rising.

"Pleasant Conversation" board? I'm glad you see population growth as not pleasant.

I believe I read that population growth is expected to top out at 11 billion mid century and then decline, although can't remember what they based that on. Getting rid of Catholicism would be a big help.

I’ve no children to weep for. The situation needs to be addressed but becomes such an emotional debate. Reality is that many Western countries have very low birth rates. It's not having kids that's wrong it's geographically where you have them.

If the world population is 6.7 billions and it is going to reach 8 billions in 20 years, then that means that my properties will rise in value by 20% in real terms. That will please the grandchildren
