Supposed to be 40Β°C. Youβll never complain again about 26-degree days.

I'm going to go for a walk around 3pm to see what it's like. It's a long time since I experienced 40C - Australia, 2007, I think. That was humid as can be as well - sweating like crazy just walking from the car to the mall.

High should be 93F in the Carolinas. With mild temps and all the rain, we are experiencing "English" weather.

32 in the shade at the moment in my garden, go in the sun and the air is horrible.

32 in the shade at the moment in my garden, go in the sun and the air is horrible. Stand upwind of your house, then.

I have drunk 4 litres of fruit juice this morning and I haven't had a piddle yet.
What I should do is to take advantage of the sunshine by giving the plant life a good soak. But sod it, I will give Waitrose a ring instead and get them to deliver some veg.

Hmmm, either these are three completely unrelated musings, or you were hoping to at last urinate and do so on the plant life, but will forego that and order a veggie platter from a posh market instead. π₯ My grip on Britlish is clearly slipping.

Then send some to us, you self centred sod.
I can't remember when London had a decent down pour.

I have a lot of vegetables growing and they need watering, but Waitrose is the local supermarket and I have barely enough energy to dial them and arrange a delivery, let alone schlepping around in the garden with a hose pipe.
Waitrose is OK, but it is still only a supermarket

So the fruit juice et al was an expression of your lack of energy/feeling well or more like a greeting? Should you switch to water? Oh! This is all because of the heat there, yes. But perhaps switch to water. My concern drove me to distraction from the very topic at hand.
