I got all my Windows update turn off. I even got apps installed to stop updates. I got all that telemetry crap turned off. Microsoft still has backdoor keys to gain access to my OS. They have turned off the audio drivers Realtek High Definition Audio. So I got a Sound Blaster Audio card. They have managed to turn that off too. That only leaves me with the E480i-B2 Intel(R) Display Audio. Which they update turning that off, too. They are also deleting my restore points. I will make a restore point and give it the name of the date I make it and it will be deleted, too. I managed to restore the audio of E480i-B2 Intel(R) Display Audio and create a restore point. And I can guarantee you it will be deleted. I can tell when they/MS are doing something cause it takes my computer longer to booth up than normal. Also is there a way to make a restore or recovery and keep it completely separate from my computer so I can use it when I need it and they can't delete it? I'm sick of it. And I'm sick of constantly having to deal with this.
PS: You may think you turned off all that telemetry. You haven't. They got build in back doors.

Sorry Monkey but just saying Linux is not an answer. There are literally hundreds of Linux distros. I want advice on which one is closest to Windows 10 without all the bullshit that comes with Windows 10. And I don't think Mac OS is PC compatible.

And you should have said all of that in the first place if that's what you wanted. Sorry I bothered.

Well I'm so sorry I hurt your little bitty feelings.

PS: You may think you turned off all that telemetry. You haven't. They got build in back doors. Yes microsoft windows has built in back doors used by law enforcement and government agencies. Freelance hackers for hire also exploit those same back doors which are easy enough to use. But here is where that bad news gets worse because Mac OS and Linux also have back doors put there so that law enforcement and government agencies can spy on you and disable your system. Most likely you have been red flagged by the FBI and or Homeland Security and the NSA. Which is why they are doing a take down on your computer system. Switching to a different operating system won't help because they will do the same to Linux. I should know because I have had extensive experience in this area. The government will try to "Brick" your computer in the hopes that you will just throw it away then the government goes rummaging through your trash to extract the hard drive out of the computer so that they can more extensively go over the data and use it as hard evidence against you. There are ways to defeat what Homeland Security and the NSA are doing to your computer but you would have to gain a knowledge of how to repair and diagnose seemingly broken motherboards and power supplies. To say that the malware is memory resident is the only hint I am allowed to give you because telling you how to defeat government actions against your computer system would be very frickin illegal. Although it might be counter intuitive you might want to turn off secure boot since the government will only weaponize it against you to lock you out of your own computer system.

Supposedly Linux Fedora is pretty good. bartlesby might know something about this question

Just to throw something out there that maybe most people don't know. That Microsoft stopped supporting the Realtec Audio chipset after Windows 8.1 so you will have device driver issues with both Windows 10 and Windows 11.
There is a way around that but it involves recompiling the Wim image of the operating system and adding some mods. Which falls into a legal grey area that I really don't want to get involved with.
That said, most first time Linux users who are leaving Microsoft behind tend to gravitate towards Ubuntu Linux because it is relatively easy to install on a custom built computer and is relatively user friendly when compared to other distributions of Linux. But you should also know that it is one of the most insecure distributions of Linux and is a nightmare to install on any laptop computer.

I want advice on which one is closest to Windows 10 without all the bullshit that comes with Windows 10. Linux Mint is the distro that is closest to Windows 10, I think. Others are PopOS and Manjaro. Then there's the boomer distro Chicago95 that looks like Windows 95. You can still use Windows 7 or, better yet, Server 2008 R2 if you pay a fee for ESU. And there's 0patch: 0patch.com/There is the Hackintosh. Although as Apple is ditching Intel and transitioning to their own CPU architecture (and kind of going back to the old days of PowerPC), its days are numbered.
