I wouldn't recommend wasting your time reading the Bible. I read it several times over back when I was religious. It goes without saying, there's so many better books out there. Genesis is pretty trippy, though.

There is a lot of esoteric philosophy to be had if one reads the Bible the same way they read Plato. The Apostle Paul thought Jesus was speaking to him in the middle of the night...so he was not rational about his religious view, but he is also a great writer.

Wisdom Is Meaningless
