I watched this video, opened and cleaned my NES, and the games are still not working. I made sure to clean the game too before putting it in the console. I don't know if the 72 Pin Connector ever has been replaced so I bought a new one on Amazon.

Got one and a load of games in the loft somewhere. That might earn you a fortune unless electricity becomes too expensive for this sort of thing.

It might have been a half way decent product if they hadn't made it as a side load with the cartridge connected with a ribbon cable that is prone to wear out and an internal switch that usually shorts out after less than 300 cartridge changes.
It is almost as if Nintendo made a bad product on purpose as sort of planned obsolescence. Possibly with the intent that consumers would be "forced" to buy the next Nintendo gaming console along with having to purchase all the games for it all over again. With the newer console made incompatible with the old cartridges by design.
The old classic Capitalism with malicious intent.
The Flashback "replica" has the cartridge rom images on a flash memory and is properly licensed to avoid legal issues. It also has better controllers and is compatible with a modern HDMI television or monitor right out of the box. Just a better experience all the way around because it takes all the guesswork out of it.
The Nintendo doesn't stack up well against it's competitor of the time the Atari 5200 because the game graphics capabilities of the original NES are worse than the graphics of the Atari 5200.
For that reason along with some others, I just prefer Sega better as a gaming console platform. Even the Sega games are better than Nintendo Games.
