Queen Elizabeth I was alright. Ducking and weaving and not doing much of anything unless forced to do so.
But the rest were such dreary bastards. Henry VIII was a dull thug, Edward VI spent most of his life dying and Mary was a religious nut who would have been much happier running the flower arranging committee at the local church.
I dare say that it is my fault. Every other TV show is about them so I must be missing something, but I am buggered if I know what

If you're tired of the Tudors, look into the Borgias. There's an awesome show that is about them

Henry did a version of Brexit, removing us from the influence of the Holy Roman Empire and the Vatican, and kicked off work on what became the Royal Navy. Elizabeth increased production of the Royal Navy which finally ended up becoming so good we had an empire of our very own.

GB missed out on all that gold, but look at the other resources they got from North America. $$$$$$$$$$$$$

It's why Spain referred to Elizabeth as The Pirate Queen. I recently listened to a podcast episode about that.

Fingers crossed.

Did the podcast mention who the Aztecs and Incas stole the gold from?

At some point, someone does have to mine and smelt it. Who took the gold from Walter Houston?

They thought it was sand because they weren't very bright.
Anyway, Howard was a decent old skin who repaired the mountain before he left, whereas the Incas and Aztecs were nasty little sods

No less than any other civilization in history.
