There is no pakistani one. Racist Fathead. That was my mum's favourite insult - "this fathead...".

It's like very slow hockey. Bal vs Ply ended in a 2 - 2 tie, by the way. Ice hockey is the best game to see live. Saw it in Vancouver and loved it! The fans have a lot of fun at those games too, especially when there's a "fight." We've had minor league teams in my hometown...in the South!...since I can remember. They're more raucous than the majors.

Yes, it's a great whoop up, and it's helped by every section being 20 minutes then a break so everyone can load up on booze. When the ice-treating tractor came out (the Zamboni), the drunk/stoned audience was yelling "Zamboni dude!!". It was hilarious, the guy was a star. Have you seen the film Goon? That's a great hockey film. Up there with Paul Newman's Slapshot.

Thank goodness for these salt-of-the-Earth types. I don't expect Australia to win any matches so I will watch Aus v France on Wednesday morning, and maybe the final.

We ended up in hers and she said "give me a minute" and then came back into the room dressed as a cheerleader - leather jacket, cowboy boots and ultra, ultra short skirt. OMG - my jaw dropped, I was in heaven.

Brazil, the Argies and France are no doubt the front runners, If I had to bet I would probably go for Argentina. England to go out in the semis.

No
I won't watch any of it because the number of people who were abused and died to make it possible really turns my stomach. However, sports are one of those great evils that are required to hold society together.
You have to do something useful with those who are not smart enough to invent anything or contribute to society in any other meaningful way. You have to do something with the failures that isn't cruel or wasteful to the resources and effort that goes into raising them.
That may seem to be a cold way of looking at it but with resources getting tighter and tighter there is less and less room for wastefulness. Besides, the entertainment is required to keep people distracted from tearing everything down, like the dog left at home by itself.

I suppose..more like elitist/arrogance Although I do agree with the third paragraph in a way-thats why people talk about universal basic income as jobs may be taken over by AI. More concerning is that AI can potentially be an extinction-level threat
