I'm going to start properly going after new members now. Step 1 will be emailing all of the members of the old board (area51).

Why don’t you amalgamate with Koolguy’s board? Marriage between the nobility was to the benefit of both parties in times gone by. You’re about the same size in member numbers. I suggest you be leader and he deputy. Give him his own board for example. Just marry Koolguy. The rest of us will be the Brady kids.

Rather than that, you could start by engaging with the members who are here, especially new members. I used the love the old IMDB. The level of intelligence I had to deal with was frustrating as hell sometimes, but at least you received replies.
Also, try getting a little more serious with the topics. Make an argument. Encourage debate. From my past two days back at your site, it appears there is just this small little group of people who basically banter about nothing amongst themselves. Yes I know there still aren't many users here. You do need more members. Just for kicks, I did check out that other IMDB board today and it has more members, but it's way too populated with simple-minded people with limited critical thinking skills.
I don't participate in social media chat in the traditional places. In my highpoint, I had the old IMDB and honestly, an account on a porn image site where I have to ignore all the brutally misogynistic and freakish perversity that you get in such places. These days, I read the comments on Breitbart for entertainment, whereas on Reddit I can't deal with the ineptitude of leftists who only can parrot what they've been told. I don't even go to what are now anti-American MSM websites like CNN, NYT, Huffington, etc.. where they don't allow comments anymore anyway. I liked the old IMDB because as much as you went in logistical circles with some people, at least what you said was out there for the record for intelligent people to see (if they cared to look). And sadly, even on the old IMDB more people were about shouting and self congratulatory faux intelligence, than listening first before speaking wisely. There were tons of member though, you could still try to engage with people.
This site could work if you engaged with new members more. I'm not here to watch a few people banter while my posts which lie in the middle, get ignored. Maybe I'm asking for too much? You need to let people into your little circle and let it get bigger.
