My mother was a car enthusiast and owned two Opel GTs at different times. She also owned a Sunbeam convertible. If I still had all the cars she had, I'd be rich. They would be worth quite a bit now.

The Opel is an awesome looking car, very clean lines. From memory, the Sunbeam Alpine was the first Bond car (also Maxwell Smarts car), maybe the Sunbeam Tiger, the same car with a V8 engine.

I had a Minx, a fun car to drive but much heavier than the Alpine.

Detuned engine, 4 door body, pathetic drum brakes, too heavy for racing.
