“The public mockery of the feelings of believers”
Nice to know Russia feels concern about other people’s feelings.

“The public mockery of the feelings of believers” Nice to know Russia feels concern about other people’s feelings. :) They have a special law about it, as it happens. Even by the standards of speech regulation laws it's a gem of convenient vagueness. It pretty much allows to interpret absolutely anything as an insult to a belief.

It's called freedom. We have the freedom to mock anyone and anything if we want. That's the price you pay for living in the Western World. If you don't like it then stay in the land you were born in.

Not really. Sure, you can say offensive things in America and the government won't toss you in prison, but you'll be fired from your job and if you've got notoriety you'll be slandered in the media, which as the Twitter Files have shown is in a symbiotic relationship with government. And Russia has elections too, so they have democracy. Right?

And Christianity is the most mock belief system in the Western World ------ with no consequences.
And that self-censorship is being pushed by the Left. They want to turn us into Britain. And Britain is not a free country.

I disagree that it's just consequences. The government is in on it. They direct discussion, as we've seen with Twitter. Think about all the rotation of people from government to corporate boardrooms and back.

It is rumored that there is a population of Muslims in the south part of Russia who were used to build a relatively new nuclear power plant known in that area as "Putin's Pride". There are accusations that the nuclear power plant is not safe because only a small portion of the money allocated for construction is actually being used for that. That the rest of it is embezzled on something.
Suffice to say that it is said that the Muslim community is looked down on as second class citizens in Russia.

Think about all the rotation of people from government to corporate boardrooms and back. If the US government forces/coerce private companies to act as their agents then the US Constitution applies. Agents on Behalf of a Principal. They're try to have it both ways --- their way. But it won't fly.
