I watched Dan Abrams on NewsNation last night. He says the media is overhyping racism amongst police in the United States.
He put up statistics saying most black people surveyed said all their interactions with police were polite and professional.
Only around 2 percent said they felt threatened or were victims of violence at the hands of police.
I've looked on the Internet. I cannot find the video clip. Maybe somebody else can.
Yes, there is police racism. And black people are more likely to be killed by police. But statistically black people commit more crime.
And it's hard to compare oranges and apples since the percent of the population of white people and black people is so different. And so is the percentage of poverty, broken homes and poor education among those two groups.
What do you think?

That's also a load of horse shit even for when white people are involved.
Haven't you people ever heard of the acronym "A.C.A.B." which stands for: "All Cops are bastards".

Take Kelly Thomas, white male, beaten to death by police, none of them were charged.
Compare that to Tyre Nichols. It's a similar situation, the only real difference is race.
Then tell me black people get treated worse. They don't. It's a lie.

In reality, over a century of oppression by white police against the black ex slave class doesn't get wiped out the day antidiscrimination laws were passed. It takes generations, especially when the oppressive social conditions whites forced blacks into continue today.

That is from the same show. But that is not the part where he puts up the statistics showing how few black people are threatened, or victims of police violence.

It takes generations, especially when the oppressive social conditions whites forced blacks into continue today. That's not the only example. Tony Timpa died almost exactly as George Floyd did, but little outrage. Duncan Lemp was killed by police in a no-knock raid just prior to Breonna Taylor, but no cops were fired because of what happened to him. Whites are killed on average daily and nobody cares. We're the ones discriminated against and blacks are protected, elevated to a status of religious like devotion.

That is from the same show. But that is not the part where he puts up the statistics showing how few black people are threatened, or victims of police violence. When you consider there are something like 800,000 interactions between police and civilians every day, the number that end in violence is very, very low. That's not even taking into account that police are employed to deal with violent people and sometimes their use of violence will be justified. If you only count the interactions that contain questionable violent incidents, you've got a better chance of getting killed by a vending machine than a cop.
