About time. The decline of the oceans which I have seen first hand in my lifetime is shocking. Isn't that mainly to do with ocean acidification though, which this will do nothing to improve? Obviously very welcome and long overdue, but sticking a band aid on a cut throat?

Marine preservation relies on two things - getting people out of the way (which this will do) and reducing acidification (which this won't do but other initiatives, such as carbon reductions, will help with). As part of a bigger picture, this is very good.
