About three years ago I was issued with a hearing aid courtesy of the NHS and ever since have been bombarded with spare batteries and good advice from the suppliers.
Which is kind in them. And if the NHS were not doing this they would probably piddle the money away on something even less important, so I am easy with it.But the thing is that I have forgotten how to do whatever the hell you are supposed to do with the thing and so never use it. I suppose that I could look the matter up on the internet but, as said, I can't be bothered. If I really want to hear something I just get closer, but most of the time I look at the speaker's face and nod at the appropriate moment and that works fine
How about you guys?

I need glasses but rarely wear them. I have the most basic glasses for mild short sighted use but really only use them for cinema and theatre visits (if I remember to bring them). I have cheap reading glasses which are mainly used for drawing (when I have to keep things neat) or reading microscopic but essential instructions. I also have a very small monoscope in case I want to know what bus is heading my way or want to look at cute critters.
Of course I could carry my glasses around with me but…
