...please do so ASAP.
It makes it easier to recognize regular posters, than a generic silhouette that looks like everyone else that doesn't have one either.

I see what you mean - definitely contentious.

We should call them βthe faceless onesβ. Good DOCTOR WHO serial. As I typed it I was thinking that it was a Dr Who title - I know it's one of the old ones theyβve recently released on DVD because some eps had been missing. (Havenβt seen it.)

Or at least some variation of the no avatar avatar

Yes, only two of the episodes currently remain intact out of the original six. You can watch the serial with either the two originals or with the two animated replacements. I usually watch with the two originals, with the animated episodes in original black and white, with the 4:3 aspect ratio.

Admin could always provide avatars for those who haven't got around to it yet. JC once gave someone an Ass Hat avatar which was quite amusing.

Eyeballs should be banned as Avatars, reeks of Big Brother watching us.

I have no objection to having an avatar--I had one over on IMDB V2, but there they had a whole program for "making your own", which IMDB1 appears to lack.
I have tried several times to import an image, and failed each time. I'm not shy, and I'm not trying to be secretive. Apparently I just don't have the technical chops.

If you already have a load of images uploaded, you may have run out of space. That happens to me and the error message I get when the upload fails is no use as it tells you nothing. Try deleting a few pics to free up some space and try again. 'Draw your own avatar' sounds like a plug-in that I haven't installed.

The generic proboards gray face makes me think of aliens. In general it can get confusing. Many people never bother changing theirs. IMDb2 had several regulars who kept the alien grey face.

??? I'm not sure what you mean. As far as I know, I have no images uploaded on IMDB1.
