And then there is the main side effect of Ozempic. Seems to be doing well at helping keep the blood sugar levels good, but the nausea is rather annoying. The antinausea medication keeps it from being completely debilitating, but when you are reduced to eating because you know you have to rather than because you want to, well, that takes away one of life's pleasures. Sympathy. Mom talked about food as basically medicine. Take the insulin to eat, but eat to level the blood sugar levels from the insulin. |

So Catman is using TurboTax again this year. Minor problem in that the program updates keep failing. Whatever, the program runs just fine. Then Catman tries to file, but the program refuses until it is updated. After trying the recommended fixes, Catman tries to uninstall and reinstall the program. That, too, fails. Then Catman tries to reinstall over the existing program and fails. Finally, Catman opens up regedit and deletes every key referring to TurboTax (except for the keys related to saved files). Tries to uninstall again, and this time, the uninstall works. Reinstalls from a downloaded copy rather than using the disk. And finally the damn updates work, and Catman is able to file his taxes. Catman can think of a lot more fun ways to spend three hours. On the plus side, Kiri learned some new words today. We shouldn't need to file. The IRS knows what we make/pay. It should just be they send us what they have & we agree or disagree, indicating adjustments. But the software makers donate to the politicians well... |

Of course, as annoying as the people are who are just careless idiots, they pale in comparison to those assholes who deliberately park taking up two spaces just so no one will accidentally ruin the paint on their precious car.
When encountering these jerks, Catman is sorely tempted to use his key to carve swear words on the car.

So out to vons(ok albertsons) to get $100 cash & Starbucks cards for the month.
Scored some half off Califia Farms Oat Latte(so my next 10 days coffee is set).
$3.24 each.
Got a regal card for any movie excursions
Got a subway card
Unfortunately the tape over the pin pulled up the ink on the 1st & last # so just when I thought I would have to go in the subway to use it, I managed to figure it out by guessing the #. Yes. 1. Wrong. 2. Wrong.
Patience is a virtue.

So Catman tried to order some refills on the pharmacy app like he's done many times before. However, the button which you need to tap in order to submit the refills selected was hidden by a menu dock which was added in the latest update.
So Catman thought, "Hey, be a good citizen and report the problem."
A couple hours later got a canned response saying Catman needed to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarting the device, making sure the device software is up-to-date and the like.
Yeah, that's not going to happen because that has nothing to do with the problem.
Fortunately, there is a secondary way to order refills which is less convenient, but at least it works.
Still, it would be nice if the response showed they actually looked to see if the problem could be reproduced.

They admitted humans were faster & more efficient but the machines were cheaper Like an apartment complex in Clairemont got a robot security guard & the place was raving it costs $1-$9 per hour to run, charging itself which is cheaper than any human security guard. It is always money. |

I put the bird feeder back up after the rains.
Filled it yesterday morning.
They pretty much emptied it yesterday
It holds a pound or 2, I forget, but damn. Used ti take a week to empty. Then 2 days.
