this is definitely a first world problem. i want to get 3 of these shelves for the computer shop to display the nice things out in the showroom that aren't easily stealable like motherboards, power supplies, UPS's, etc. mikemonger look at them, they're fucking beautiful and pretty darn reasonable @ $450 each.   my issue is they're from Litfad, maybe the top 10 WORST rated China based website marketplaces in the world. where they sell you A and ship you X. and even if they did ship you A - who knows if in the 90 days it takes to arrive to me that it will be any kind of decent shape and not in 30 broken pieces. and EVEN if it arrives like it appears in the picture, will it last holding 40 pounds of power supplies on a shelf or will it warp like a Federation science vessel in the face of a Romulan battle cruiser? ARGH. lol fucking teases. |

So about that $35 insulin ...
If your dose is the right amount, a vial does indeed cost $35. However, if your dose is low enough, so that the vial lasts more than 30 days, the same vial costs $70. Now if the vial would last 60 days, that would be fine, but that's not the case. Once you start a vial, it lasts only 45 days before you have to toss it.
Fortunately, the pharmacy Catman uses has clever people working there, and they figured out a way for Catman to pay only $45 a vial.
Dammit.

I'm sitting in the hot tub and I slam my drink too fast. I'm finally comfortable for the first time this week and the goddamn bourbon is in the basement about 30 ft from me... but I have to get out of the hot tub to get it.
Fuck, life sucks. I almost feel as entitled and whiny as a millennial

I am at a client site. They gave me a phone number to call if I had any problems as an emergency contact.
I've been calling since 9am and it's now 11:30 and nothing. My emergency contact must have been captured by enemy troops.

When you've been going to the same big box home improvement store for over a decade, and every time you go you pass the ax and hatchet section, and every single time you think you should probably pick one up just to have lying around but you never actually do, then the day comes when you actually need an ax to take out that last little nub of tree stump in your yard, and you go to the store and they've friggen moved them and you need to hunt someone down to tell you where they are. So you had to aks someone? That’s one of my first world annoyances; muppets who can’t pronounce three letter words correctly! I saw a funny video about an east Asian guy walking to lowes and home depots looking for chink. The sales associates had no idea how to respond properly. 😄 I'll find and link it when I get back to the shop. |

So somehow I go from a big refund to owing $3400?

Somehow I got $16000 in Social Security. But they were taxing me on $27,000?
So I call the # for the H&R block software. The AI is stubborn. I must tell her what I need, but I am calling because I am confused!
It transfers me to someone, only no, I am disconnected.
Second round.
Again, nosy AI wants to know which of 3 specific problems I have so it can help me.
I get to a gal who KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT TAXES.
Why is she there?
I keep looking through the stuff i entered & figure out I entered the Social Security money twice.
Yeah!
I fixed my own problem!
But the gal wants me to be sure to respond to the short survey they will email me.
So I have to send Uncle Sam $400.
However the California Bear doesn't tax Social Security so I am getting $500 back from them so my savings account will get restored.
