This was an Uber driver and a protestor armed with an AK 47 stopped his car and pointed the rifle at him. I'm sad the jury convicted him, he shouldn't have even been charged, and I agree with him being pardoned. The only reason to overturn a Jury decision is if new evidence has come to light that wasn't before that jury at the time, not just because a politician doesn't like a decision or wants to be a populist with a certain type of person. There is a Judicial appeals system for people who feel they have been badly treated. Otherwise the whole Judicial system is nothing more that a political toy. Very wrong decision and that would be the case were it a policeman or a Antifa rioter or whomever.

I'd bet every penny I have that if the uber driver had been a black man who drove into a Proud Boys rally, the governor wouldn't even think about a pardon.

More proof that piggos are above the law, and that the GOP wants fascism. Pardon power is given to governors just exactly for cases like this. Liberal turds wrongly convicted him. Cops are here to make people like you obey the rules. Normally the governor is supposed to review the facts of the case, not pledge to pardon before the sentence is actually read because Tucker Carlson told him to. And it still needs to be recommended by the Board of Pardons, who should actually look at the facts. Unless it's already been prejudiced. Personally I don't care either way. If you feel compelled to walk around with an AK-47, you're doing so with the intent to intimidate. And sometimes we kill what intimidates us.

Why is everybody calling the guy who got shot a lib? He was walking around with an AK-47. I thought libs hated "assault weapons".

Why are people calling him a cop? The media. They don't outright lie, but they word stories deceptively to make it seem the Uber driver was a cop, and that the guy who got killed was black, and that the "cop" rammed his car into protestors. None of that is true.

And obviously the jury was just wrong. Or something. Yes, they are wrong. Right. Not because they sat through all the testimony and evidence and actually know the case, but because Tucker Carlson said so.

The Texas gov. moved to pardon before an appeal was even filed because gov. Greg Abbott doesn't see any problem with killing protestors. www.cnn.com/2023/04/09/us/greg-abbott-pardon-daniel-perry/index.htmlSo apparently driving vehicles into crowds of people and shooting people is alright just so long as the person doing it is "A fine upstanding pillar of the community."
