Where they differ is where the answer lies.

Where they differ is where the answer lies. Definitely. All religions have their own goals to solve different issues (well, probably the exact same issue, but, under different names). For Christianity, the goal is Salvation, For Buddhism, the goal is enlightenment, For Islam, the goal is submission, Etc.

Where they differ is where the answer lies. Being as specific as you can be, what are all religions on to, and how do we know for a fact that they are really on to it?

Yes, but, of These 4, Only Christ Is the Only Begotten Son. The other 3 are all from polytheistic religions.

Solving the problem of going down an evil path, which leads to one's own destruction.

More like The Last Begotten Son, there are several in others, Osiris is one of them. Osiris belonged to a polytheistic pantheon. So did Yahweh, he is a possible cognate deity with Marduk who destroys the chaos, water deity, sea-dragon Tiamat, with his mighty winds to create the Heavens and the Earth.

What is the common denominator here? Solving the problem of going down an evil path, which leads to one's own destruction. If you’ve been handed a list of predetermined instructions to follow, how are you solving anything?

If you’ve been handed a list of predetermined instructions to follow, how are you solving anything? By obeying them. That’s not using your brain to solve something.
