try to imagine this. What is Oprah going to say to the public? Vote for me because I am DIFFERENT Than all the other past POTUS's ? Is she going to have a banner like Obama? " Vote for Change?"What Change? Does she think becuase shes black that people will try her becuase almost every POTUS was a white man before her? Anything that comes out of her mouth I am going to be saying to myself "Why should I believe for change? Obama was for Change....... and nothing changed ! It got worse for the middle class!" The public may be dumb, but they arent THAT much of a bunch of dumbasses IF she thinks that just becuase shes black and/or a woman that means that if I voted for a minority that it is a guarantee that she wont be as corrupt or as incompetent or 2 faced as all the WHITE men( and 1 half black man) that came before her? The public was fooled once already with Obama And as they say Fool me once, shame on you- fool me twice... shame on ME.And the worst part is i ts happened recently. The Polls for the last election were wrong becuase of all those closeted Trump voters Those same voters who didnt want to answer who they were voting for in those polling calls were the ones that elected trump with an electoral landslide. Obamas failures are too fresh on everyones minds( lack of jobs/and broken and expensive ACA/iran nuke deal) Being that Oprah is a black female liberal Democrat, there is nothing she could say that would get you to vote for her doctorinpa73. So really, what difference would it make what she said? |

But even if I wasnt a conservative- There are alot of people out there who are undecided- those same people who didnt vote for Romney had voted for Trump.Those people can go either way- dem or con- and they voted for Trump,not Hilary in all the key states. Those same people will pretty much still be around 2020 And as long as Trump proves that he IS different and at least tries( even when congress and senate stop him most of the time), We are going to be unlikely to believe a democrat- black or otherwise after a republican has proven himself truly differ and better like Trump has- SO FAR A lot of people who voted for Obama, would be interested in a candidate like Oprah. In many ways, she has been more politically involved than Donald Trump. Many people worship her. Women are a greater percentage of the population than men. And many liberals and Democrats stayed home during the last election because Clinton did not inspire them. After four - eight years of Trump, history shows the people will be ready for a change. (Historically, the United States alternates back and forth between the two major parties.) She has time to assemble a team, educate herself, and raise money. And the DNC would back anybody with a chance to win. |

Oprah being a talk show host is not enough in the way of qualifications. I am tired of people who slipped into government like Trump and Bannon who don't know what the hell they are doing. The United States is falling to pieces under the ideology of Grover Norquist and we need a president who knows how to put society back together again. This is no longer about government subsidized education any more it is about survival now, and stopping the rapid decent into becoming just another third world nation. The problem is that American politics has become such a blood sport, the type of people you are talking about don't want to engage in the indignities involved in running for office.

I think Trump will win again and then Ivanka will run and probably win in a landslide - for being the brains behind trumps cabinet- his secret weapon. I heard she is brilliant. Trump may have a dynasty.

Say what you want about Trump- but hes a corporate killer. He is someone you want next to you at the negotiating table.If another country wants something from the US, you can be Trump will hammer a deal out and have the US benefit- unlike Obama with that extortion Iran nuke deal( paying iran millions back in the agreement?! )
Just because they are both celebs it doesnt mean anything. even though they are both billionaires and businessmen,Trumps vast experience is empire building- His life experience was a benefit to him running the country during a recession with everyone out of work.
Oprahs vast experience? um....Talking about the time when your dad molested you? I dont see her getting people jobs. She has no wheeling and dealing exp.She has a channel, a mag and used to have a talk show. Big deal. Whos next? Dr Phil?

Many entertainers are both liberal and in the top 1%. So one doesn't exclude the other. |
