I just want to see him take on a classic villain like Metallo or Braniac one on one. I don’t even wanna see Batman or Wonder Woman there let alone a bunch of D listers. But… if they have very minor supporting roles just to show that a Justice Society exists then I suppose that’s okay. Just keep them out of the big set pieces please. THIS! I’ve long thought Cyborg Superman would make a good Supes movie villain. (I’ve said this before here, so forgive the repetitiveness.) Great villains are those who reverse the hero in some way (Superman has incredible powers, non-powered Lex Luthor is extremely jealous; Batman is dark and broody but a good guy, the Joker murders with a smile on his face). Cyborg Superman obviously has that “copy of Superman” thing going on, and I think it’d be cool if we don’t know he’s a cyborg till the end, when they’re fighting and the Cyborg starts falling apart (literally, I suppose). Bizarro more or less serves the same function. Indeed. It's weird that his rogues gallery hasn't been properly utilized compared to other superheroes. It's bewildering we got Starro the Conqueror (fun villain don't get me wrong) before Brainiac in a theatrical film.

We know so many cast members already, but still no mention of a villain other than Lex Luthor. That’d be pretty disappointing if he’s the only one.

This should’ve been directed by Sam Raimi.

Richard Donner, when speaking about Reeve’s desire to have Superman tackle the topic of nuclear war, explained how it is a fundamentally bad idea to have Superman get involved in real world geopolitical situations. Gunn obviously doesn’t understand this.
Superman in the Middle East is just a terrible idea.

But who better to broker peace between the Israelis and Palestinians? The Mad Hatter? I was thinking the Joker. Especially if he remained the Iranian ambassador to the United Nations.

VFX designer Stephane Ceretti shared some details of the team that's working on the movie, which includes some long-time collaborators of the director.

On Threads, @thebadoneandy asked Gunn about Superman's existence as established in Blue Beetle, which will be tied into the DC Universe. The user wondered if Superman: Legacy will be set in the past since Blue Beetle establishes that Jaime Reyes is aware of Krypton's last son in this continuity. Gunn didn't take long to clear up what he is actually doing with Superman: Legacy, confirming that he "was never making a "young Superman" movie, just a Superman movie!" This comes after Gunn had talked about how this take on the DC icon will be somewhere in his 20s. screenrant.com/superman-legacy-henry-cavill-young-replacement-james-gunn/
