something can be true and anti-Semitic for a start, if a person ONLY ever complains about one country doing what many others also do is a perfect example of that, as is the tendency to use tropes about "wealth" and Jews. Does Israel manipulate and take the piss out of America? Yes. Do many other countries lobby for preferential treatment and get it? Yes. The thing is that the US would do it anyway, as it's in their own ME interests to be very close with one or two particular states and allows them to have some control and supposed influence over the region (how much is certainly open to debate and that is where Israel can be accused of "taking the piss"). Donald Trump's whining about money going to South Korea is exactly the same, it is money being lobbied for and money that America spends to have influence and close friends in the Korean Peninsula, the same occurs in Central America and Africa and elsewhere to varying degrees. Obsessively pointing out just one of these instances and using tropes about "wealthy Zionists" crosses a line IMHO between healthy criticism of a repugnant (at present) regime in Israel and anti-Semitism. "something can be true and anti-Semitic for a start, if a person ONLY ever complains about one country doing what many others also do is a perfect example of that, as is the tendency to use tropes about "wealth" and Jews." When 6 of the 7 top Dem donors are 1 issue donors and that issue is Isreal, then yes, you have every right to complain about it. "Does Israel manipulate and take the piss out of America? Yes. Do many other countries lobby for preferential treatment and get it? Yes." Did any of them plant cell phone surveillance devices near the White House and other sensitive locations around Washington like Isreal did and our government did not respond? forward.com/fast-forward/431286/israel-spy-white-house-trump-netanyahu/" Obsessively pointing out just one of these instances and using tropes about "wealthy Zionists" crosses a line IMHO between healthy criticism of a repugnant (at present) regime in Israel and anti-Semitism." Ignoring reality for the sake of political correctness is just as bigoted, if not more so. If you have character, you'd apologize to Xel. One can only go with their beliefs, i believe that post met my own standards as being anti Semitic, if that poster has made multiple threads on other similar situations with other countries than I will happily read them. You base the post being not anti-Semitic on people being "1 issue donors" and that being wrong, but you are happy with someone pretty much being a 1 issue poster with regard to constant criticism of Israel but never of other similar situations. There's definitely a double standard there.

"One can only go with their beliefs, i believe that post met my own standards as being anti Semitic, if that poster has made multiple threads on other similar situations with other countries than I will happily read them." But that's the problem, there isn't a country exerting similar degree of influence on the US. You might try to say Saudi Arabia, but that ignores things like Anti-BDS laws being passed. You don't see states passing similar laws protecting Saudi Arabia. "You base the post being not anti-Semitic on people being "1 issue donors" and that being wrong, but you are happy with someone pretty much being a 1 issue poster with regard to constant criticism of Israel but never of other similar situations. Do you understand how irrational that comparison is? It is a literal fallacy to compare the 2 as they are apples and oranges. And to split hairs, it is also fallacy to call a mega donor a mere donor. Mega donors can influence an election while an ordinary poster on this board has no such power. Finally, I've notice you've avoided detailed discussion on Isreali influence in this debate. It's almost as if you are conceding every point I've made is factually based. I think we both know you would lose such a debate, and if you are one of those posters who wants to be right, you shouldn't engage in such a debate. If care more about truth, you should. BTW, well Xel is primarily anti Isreal, he's also very anti cop. Sonething he and I disagree profoundly on.

At the UN today, Mahmoud Abbas demanded that the UN ban Israel for NON-BINDING UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY RESOLUTIONS from 1947 and 1949.
He’s 88 years old. Dementia?
