How can we be sure the photo on the right isn't photoshopped?

Had all that in the past when to be gay was a "mental illness" and you would've no doubt have been singing from the same hymn sheet then and probably now too if it was not seen as anything but bigoted. No doubt you do view being gay as a "disorder"? I can appreciate a different false equivalent to deflect. After all, you have the task of trying to convince people that men are women and vice versa. But it does nothing to justify an individual not recognizing their sex as anything but some type of mental disorder. Now, if you can distinguish this variation of BID as not being some level of disorder (that does have a suicide attempt rate over 50%), I'm all ears. After this is discussed, then I'm happy to talk about other separate instances. 😉 and you are deflecting the "deflecting". Not worth discussing if you have those views on people.

So.. family reunion’s must be weird.
She notices you eyeing her strangely sexy former-male figure up and down from across the room, and then she lunges forward and suddenly she’s got you in a Marine-style chokehold. Now, at that point, does the blood flow from your erection or to it? I don’t get how that works.

What a beautiful modern progressive woman! Is she going to have babies? Maybe she is already a dad.

Back in the day, a man had to be really rich to get away with being transgendered.

How can we be sure the photo on the right isn't photoshopped? I bet you look like a woman without the transition. And after a certain age, you all get a bit femaley.

People often fear the unknown...especially when it comes to mental illness. These people need therapy and treatment to overcome their BID as opposed to scorn. The behavior needs to be socially opposed (instead of enabled) to motivate said positive change. Had all that in the past when to be gay was a "mental illness" and you would've no doubt have been singing from the same hymn sheet then and probably now too if it was not seen as anything but bigoted. I'm 63-years-old and I grew up in apartheid era South Africa, but I certainly don't view being gay as a disorder, nor have I ever. You are wrong in conflating gay men and women's fight for acceptance and equal rights with the transgender cult . I have never met a gay person who wanted to carve off their sexual organs or take medications which would lead to them never being able to the experience the full pleasure of orgasms etc. etc. Most gay people I've known are big on celebrating their sexuality, although I've also known a few more staid, inhibited gay men and women too. You do gay men and women a massive disservice by lumping them in with young people caught in the thrall of the transgender cult. It is not the same thing yggdrasil. These are two separate issues. A few years ago 0.1 % of ALL Americans thought they were trans, just last year 2% of high school kids in the US "identified" as trans.

The minute you call something a "cult" though, you make it crystal clear that you are not at all objective on the subject. I am sure that elements of social media and fashion can play a part in bad decisions being made, but that is why it doesn't go ahead without expert Doctors being involved and deciding as to the need and urgency in each individual case. I firmly believe that a prerequisite should be to live as the opposite sex for a period of two years, this goes well beyond anyone doing something as it's fashionable and shows a complete commitment to changing gender. Your final sentence to me just reflects that people are playing with gender stereotypes and sexuality because for the first time ever it's okay to do that, you (likely) won't get your head kicked in for being openly gay/bisexual/Trans/whatever and people are embracing this new openness and exploring their lifestyles. The only figure that matters is the number of people going through sex change surgery and even that to a degree will be swayed by a lack of fear now that put people off in the past. the numbers will rise, but by how much is for specialists to decide if something is genuinely amiss. 50 years ago those that identified as "gay" would have been near 0%, guess what, it's miles higher now. Is that because we've suddenly all turned gay? Or perhaps for the first time people feel free and proud to be honest about who they fancy and want to shag.
