BLM isn't everyone who supports them
It is like saying EVERY Trump supporters enter the Capitol on January 6th.
No.
Some attended the speech & went home.
So Black Lives Matter was started to address the issue that they felt blacks are not listened to. The rioting & looting wasn't specific to BLM, but was people who went not to protest, but to Loot & vandalize stuff.
Sort of like "look, a parade! Let's follow everyone & break ino their cars while they're enjoying the parade!"
Not there for the parade, but to cause damage/steal stuff.
5 finger discount mentality.
Since you brought it up though, MLK led a non violent movement where everyone was well behaved and because of that, he got the civil rights he wanted.
BLM needs to take a page from that book instead of letting those who are protesting with them Burn Loot and Murder which tarnishes their reputation in the press.
So to suggest there are a few bad apples and to try and separate them from the BLM basket does not work.
In this case a few bad apples does spoil the bunch.
The civil rights movement (1896–1954) was a long, primarily nonviolent action to bring full civil rights and equality under the law to all Americans.
I know I remember a lot of violent protests on the news when I was a child. I just don't remember which was for the war & which was for civil rights.
It was a crazy time.
The King assassination riots, also known as the Holy Week Uprising, were a wave of civil disturbance which swept across the United States following the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. on April 4, 1968. Some of the biggest riots took place in Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Chicago, and Kansas City.
Some areas were heavily damaged by the riots, and recovered slowly. In Washington, D.C., poor urban planning decisions on the part of the federal and local government were an obstacle to recovery.
The pitifulest thing out is a mob; that's what an army is--a mob; they don't fight with courage that's born in them, but with courage that's borrowed from their mass, and from their officers. But a mob without any MAN at the head of it is BENEATH pitifulness.
