I started this. I'm pretty early in, and already the "dumb blonde" persona is explained. She was already loaded on camera from the very beginning. I always saw her as a tragic figure. No survival skills. That's what the billionaire dementia guy was about. She had hustle, but that's about it.

I saw. Small town girl from the poor side of town. Ends up a Guess model. But she was a junkie before she ever got famous. I assume that's why she flamed out so quickly. That's probably where this is going. Same story with Guns & Roses.

No, the one talking about how Anna and the dementia patient in the wheel chair were soul mates. I'm glad this was made, just so Elvis impersonator dad's story is told. What his son said is pretty damning. No wonder she died FUBAR.

Did she take any steps to avoid being FUBAR'd?
She basically set up her boy for it, imo

No, she was an addict with no survival skills probably without being an addict. Not everyone masters the ability of being able to take care of themselves. She only had one skill set, and it was unreliable.

How would you describe her one skill set?
She had plenty of assets..........and certainly was given a lot more opportunities than most.
But she chose to squander them all. She's actually kind of a 'case study' for many Americans these days.

She photographed beautifully. Her Guess campaign was gorgeous. As far as Pin-Ups go, she had "it." That's fleeting though. Becky Lynn made the mistake of thinking she could always count on someone else's money. That's a dumb way to go through life. It doesn't matter who you are.

Since I never really got into the Marilyn Monroe look, she didn't move me much either........but I know WHY so many American males do lust after that sorta thing.
I got the impression that 1. Howard Marshall may have actually been a secret influence on getting her that GUESS deal, though even Playboy's woman said she had the 'look' they were all after. and 2. She sure took advantage of that old guy. Even if she was serious about loving him and marrying him, that didn't explain away running up his charge card after he gave her one with a very high limit.
I remembered she lost her lawsuit........then the higher court let it be heard again......and I thought she had actually gotten a bit of a win, even after death? But this Doc said she didn't win anything? It's good to see her estate must have had a little something of value upon her demise which has since grown by triple and should provide for her daughter.

Just curious...if she's not hot, then who's hot? I saw someone say the same about J-Lo once and I know everyone has different tastes, but I'd assume some things are just universal, like J-Lo's perfect body. I don't understand men at all sometimes. The article documentary made it sound like she cheated on Howard with his son and the son wanted to prove it but then cut off his own daughter? WTF, ANS is gone, he should be providing for that kid. I'm okay with ANS not getting anything from the marriage, her kid by her stepson is another matter.

I was in high school when I learned of her death. No idea who she was at the time though. I learned it from ET I believe lol. There could have been headlines too but I do remember ET though

keep in mind, my bias for brunettes.......... J-Lo does get cred, especially for her age. But I'd go for the looks of Salma Hayek, Monica Bellucci or a very young Elizabeth Taylor or Suzanne Pleshette. We're not that tough to figure out. Very basic needs, really. :P
Didja catch that part in the Doc where they mentioned the olde man spent somewhere over $14 Million on her before he died.........so for her estate to only have about $1 Million when she died is unforgivable. The 2 sides probably spent $Millions in court fighting over those $Billions, too. :P
I just checked that bit about his son, apparently he had more than 1 son.........and the one she 'joined forces' with was trying to sue for his portion of the estate, too after getting cut out.
