Who's watching commercials anymore? I thought people have cut the cable and are now streaming. When the last of the Boomers die off, the abortion that has become broadcast TV will go with them, but I digress. That is a bullshit excuse. The MSM is pandering to women in letting themselves go... not only to give women the greenlight on letting their weight go, but also go out in public in their jammies and flip flops with no makeup on and their bedhead hair up underneath a baseball hat. The irony is, that the same type of woman I just described above, goes home and gets gussied up with a $200 hair and makeup job on themselves, then hop online looking like a professional model and get paid to be influencer. Oh give me a break. It's not like men walk around in three piece suits either now a days. You aren't dressing them, so again, why do you care? How much someone else weighs or how they dress doesn't affect you in the least. They don't exist to live up to your standards. It's fine for you to not find them attractive, but you don't get to tell them they have to change to suit your ideals either. 30% of the country is overweight and 30% is obese, and men fall in that number as well. Obesity as a health issue vs an aesthetic issue are two separate things. As a health issue, it's a cultural problem. When we got here, it was with your typical models in advertising, so I'd say it didn't really make a difference before. But I will say this, I'm okay with "fat is beautiful" because that's subjective. I am not okay with "fat is healthy," because that is objectively false. But they are two different conversations. Typical woman who can't make up her mind^ It's binary choice, so which is it? Fat is either "beautiful", or it's "unhealthy"... or are you going to try and split the difference with - "You can be "beautifully" fat and die young". |

Then again, my cousin (in-law) said "with a bag over their heads, all women look alike."

No, I just didn't fall for that "Big Booty" bullshit that was only being pushed by rap music until the MSM decided to take it and run with it and that's what lead us to where we are today with it being socially acceptable for women to be morbidly obese. More than likely, you've been conditioned to like fat chicks from what you've been seeing in the media for the past 20 years. Raise your standards. I've seen the comments you've posted about hot models (of normal size) throughout the board here.
