Can’t wait for right wingers to tell us about how this poem is “porn”. Because according to them only porn is being banned in schools.
It’s insane to let one bigoted prudish parent dictate what kids can and cannot read. A lot of that stuff they call "porn" is gay sex education materials. Would they be objecting if it was all straight sex? I doubt it. I have no problem with children learning all about gay sex as long as they also learn straight sex. The only thing I am not sure of is what the appropriate age it would be looking at those graphic drawings to learn it. Libraries cannot put an age restriction on their materials because it is not an adult bookstore. So what is the solution to those who feel kids are too young to see something they shouldn't in a place that has it? I don't think the fuckers for censorship should be humored but maybe they have a point? |

Some religious prudes don’t want kids to learn anything about sex - they think if schools don’t teach about sex and teach abstinence only, their kids won’t have sex. They are epically stupid because plenty of teens will have sex, it’s just they are less likely to use safe sex practices if they know nothing about it. These religious people yap about how much they hate abortion, but many of them also oppose birth control, which is the best way to prevent unwanted pregnancies - it’s all about controlling women and controlling others bodies, evangelicals are obsessed with that. I think kids should be taught sex ed around the time they hit puberty. |
