Given how many Disney films go over budget, do you think its possible someone(s) are skimming? Remember John Carter? I enjoyed the film, but it cost SO MUCH MONEY the entertainment press wanted it to fail. The director had never done live action. Just animation Apparently there is little supervision over directors. This guy went crazy when he discovered he could demand, say 5 chickens for a scene & someone would get them. He just started demanding more & more unnecessary crap just to see when the studio would stop him. It never did. Marvel used to ride their directors. Whedon complained how much they forced him to cut Avengers to hit their time limit for a movie. But he admitted it made a better movie. So is someone skimming? Or the studios just aren't paying attention? They need to get their accountants back watching the budgets |

They should have just paid Peter Dinklage a shit ton of cash to play all the dwarfs... in black face, yellow face, brown face and the white dwarf as a transsexual... His complaint was the dwarves being part of the story, not that they didn't hire him. Dwarf stereotypes. |

Whether it's theft or overindulgence, competent management should cure it. Clint Eastwood might not be the best director but he delivers ahead of schedule and under budget. I wonder how he would do with a Marvel/DCfilm. BTW, I enjoyed everything you wrote in your post; good insight and illustration on the creative process. |

I disagree with Peter Dinklage - there's nothing wrong with having the best people play certain roles. Do I want some pasty white guy portraying a ninja from japan? Do I want some black actor playing the role of a Native American? Do I want some flat chested guy playing the role of Taarna in a real life remake of Heavy Metal?  No No HELL NO. |

I'm presuming the costume covers him enough that it isn't obvious. |

Compared to $250 for The Little Mermaid. Which is hilarious given how shit The Little Mermaid looks. Thor 4 used CGI for the helmets and Portmans arms....There is no accountability it seems. |
