I'm out in the boonies, more boonies than where my shop is located.
It's a medical facility out in the deep farm lands. I expected to be here for hours installing a new PC at 15-30 mbps internet speeds.
It turns out they get 500mbps out here!?
What the heck. I barely get 90mbps where I am!
Good for them...and me too because I'm almost done here.

having been sick with the flu for 2 weeks, i have to say having Youtube is awesome as fuck.
i mean it.
sure we all have a love/hate relationship with tiktok and twitch and facebook but youtube is a lot of fun.

the first week was like me sleeping 20 hours a day haha.
what's funny is our daughter came home from school with a cough and slight fever and slept it off and was fine the next day. so we thought it was something light. little did we know how serious it was until i caught it and then gave it to my wife.

Glad you are all (close to) on the mend. My big fear with cord cutting is local sports. I don't GAF about CBS, FOX, etc. But? Those sports packages black out local games, NFL, NBL, etc. I mean, what the hell is that? Gonna have to talk to Bart about VPN, I'm tired of being gouged. |

When I was into sports I needed the local channels as well as a sports package if it wasn't too expensive but now that we have kids, I have no time and energy for tv like we used to. We used to cuddle up to cartoon network anime night and stuff but now we're like eh. We only have cable tv because with my parents living with us they need local sports, the weather channel, and the travel channel like so many older folk do haha.
I watch MAYBE 15 minutes of tv a week. I just am not into it anymore.

I watch the Giants, who suck, and maybe two hours of basic cable every month. It's crazy, and unfair. |

so i saw this video of this young lady's life and it's a bit heartbreaking: she grew up just fine but at age 15 or so, her pigmentation failed and mostly in her facial area.
so her high school years had been hell with even her friends cracking jokes at her expense.
then a professional makeup artist came in and with the magic of makeup helped her, i hate to say cover up but that's pretty much what it is:
so i wonder what if i had dated a girl with such and issue but didn't know until say the 5th date due to the makeup?
how would i feel?
how would i react?
would be a total asshole about it would i say I am okay with it and then fall off the face of the earth because that's what many/most guys would do or would i really be okay with it as long as we really got along well?
ugh. men.
