No, just hypocrites. They want to enjoy the film but can't admit they jumped on the Idiot Hater Bandwagon. Once Guardians 3 came out folks were also saying "You know what, Shang Chi and Multiverse and Wakanda Forever were actually very good films. I should have said so back then." Nah, they weren’t saying that. They were saying that, folks are commenting on the "Guardians 3 shows the MCU still has good in it!" posts with "Uh, did you forget about how good Wakanda Forever was?"
And they're right, the ingrates are happy ignoring those successes because they've jumped on the Idiot Hater Bandwagon.

Wakanda Forever was fine. About as good as a sequel without its protagonist could be. It was always generally well liked. You’re just rambling again.

Yes, and the "fans" ignored that because they were intent on their "I hate the MCU now" vector until Guardians 3 made them turn around and hypocritical say "Okay, I didn't say it when it came out but I liked Wakanda Forever".

Find me people who openly said they enjoyed Shang-Chi and Wakanda Forever before Guardians 3 came out and it was suddenly "In Vogue" to like the MCU again.

No one in the world openly enjoyed Shang Chi or Wakanda before Guardians 3 came out. I looked. I looked hard. But alas it’s true: no such person exists.

When you’re right you’re right. It’s true that nobody, not one single person on Earth, praised those movies. I haven’t checked the RT scores in a while, but I’m pretty sure they both got 0%.

I actually really liked Shang-Chi. Ranked it around the same level as Black Panther or IM1 which I have in my B-Tier.
On the other hand, I liked Eternals more than Wakanda Forever. I know I'm in the minority but there you go.

The "fans" were still complaining that there's no way they could've gotten high scores when they came out. They stopped complaining after Guardians 3.

I forget sometimes the view can be shiniest from within the bubble. I really liked Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but my parents watched it the other night and had no clue what was going on. They enjoyed it as best they could without understanding where GOTG3 picks up from, or why Gamora is so different. I didn't know about the holiday special, so when Quill referenced Mantis as his sister, I thought it was implicit that Ego must have sired her like his other billion kids. I'm an MCU (film) veteran and they're not getting any easier to explain. It hurts the experience to have to rely on turning up rocks for details.
Perhaps Disney considers itself to be its one stop shop for MCU details, but the films and the shows are two different sources.

I mean, by this point the MCU has been going on for 15 years. You kind of have to know past stuff by now to understand.

I wasn't aware people didn't like Shang-Chi. I'm by no means a hater but it is true that I didn't really enjoy anything since Shang-Chi until GotGv3 came out. None of it was necessarily bad but it was just disappointing. But I kind of think I might have been fatigued by how many shows had come out as well and probably just didn't have the same mindset to enjoy any of it anymore.

They were saying it was Asian Pandering and we should be making movies about Fearing and Mistrusting Asians instead.
Maybe there was a bit of a market flooding, but the backlash the new stuff got for simply not being a White Nationalists Paradise says something.

It could be the exact same movie with just a few tweaks and be all white people but nobody would call it "white pandering".
Yeah like I said I just got burnt out watching the eight TV shows in less than two years on Disney+ not to mention Black Widow and Shang-Chi. By the time Eternals came out I was just like "ughh can you give me a minute?"
