They also had, in Mick Tucker, one of the best drummers pop music has ever seen, really good technically, would have made a great jazz drummer. Sweet live were a much heavier experience than their glam chart stuff would have you believe, they were rather forced into the glam stuff by the song writing partnership of Chinn/Chapman who also wrote for Suzi Quattro and many others, who got them to sign their career away to them unfortunately. Thy could have been a mini Led Zeppelin had things gone in another way.

I know drummer Bun E. Carlos (Cheap Trick), who played on stage with Mick Tucker, spoke very highly of him. And Carlos is a great drummer.

Teenage Rampage was the first single I ever bought, in 1974, and it still sounds great - great song, The Six Teens was a cracker too. Lady Starlight was a great ballad but oddly only released as an Andy Scott solo single, never worked that one out.
