Presumably not enough motorists breaking the 20 mile an hour speed limit to occupy their time.

I like Monmouth. It is full of English and the MP, David Davies, is not only a Brexiter but disliked David Cameron even before it became fashionable.
Still, the Pikies have to go somewhere, so I suggest that they be deported to somewhere no one else wants to go, such as Scotland

This is all the police do now. If its not investigating hurt feelings or sitting with a speed camera, thy don't want to know.

It's all they ever do, The Police HAVE to investigate any complaint, it's how they work. Doesn't mean they do anything about it, although it makes for tasty headlines for people to get their knickers in a twist over. So, it's not a police matter and the Police will no doubt come to that conclusion, people file the complaints exactly so they can get all the squealing attention exactly like this.

Like when they sent multiple officers to arrest that man over that pride flag bollocks on Facebook? Even though simply looking at it should have been enough to determine it wasn't a criminal offence?

I dunno - the second question on the leaflet seems a bit dubious: "Would you like to see a Traveller site next to your house?" Can you imagine if someone put out a leaflet asking "Would you like a black person moving next door to you?" There is an implication that Travellers are undesirable. Though I doubt that in itself counts as a crime.

The problem is it wastes police time looking into. If people make a stupid complaint, they should be fined.

My point was if you saw a leaflet asking a similar question about black people, you would probably think it's implying black people are undesirable. But when it's used in reference to Travellers, that's ok?

I have no sympathy for them - they are always conning people and leaving giant piles of shit everywhere so they can get stuffed with this "we're so hard done by" bullshit.

But then that's not so much that you think the leaflet isn't prejudiced, it's that you think such prejudice is justified.

I would think it unlikely as then the Police would be accused of believing complaints of racism are a "waste of their time" by the other side. They tend to be damned if they do and damned if they don't.

No idea of the event or the outcome apart from what you are claiming. I very much doubt they do it for a laugh, Policing is tough enough already with the reduced numbers they have. They don't think "Oh, let's do such and such, it'll annoy the Daily Mail and a bunch of gammons"
