Are you implying that heterosexuals aren't dopeheads? You can be heterosexual but you don't have to be a dopehead. People would be more careful if naloxone wasn't freely available. Now these junkies think they can always be brought back from an overdose death with naloxone, so it frees then up to take even more drugs. That's not how drug addicts work. If they do enough drugs to OD intentionally, they don't care if they die, or they want to die. Many times, though, it's accidental. That's like saying people chug a handle of whiskey because they know somebody can pump their stomach. It's still a bad time. And it's not like the corner junkie expects anybody to come and rescue them.

It's actually more about drug use and condemning users.

They sure do if there is plenty of free naloxone - distributed freely by well meaning do gooders - circulating among the addicts. Have you ever been addicted to drugs and or alcohol in your life? How many close friends and family of yours have been addicts or alcoholics? Genuine fear of death, BTW, is more often than not the reason addicts start on the road to recovery. Tough love works. I'm going to bed now because I'm tired and the electricity is going down in about 8 minutes, but I look forward to reading your answer in the morning. Addicts only kick when they decide to, so don't enable them up to that point. PS. Addicts very seldom try to kill themselves with drugs. It is when they haven't got drugs that they want to kill themselves.

How many more drug overdoses are reported during a major football game in any given city? Dunno, but according to the OP its waaaaay lower than when the Gay Pride parade is in town. Not very many as alcohol isn't allowed at college sporting events other than ciders and seltzers. Dunno and it doesn't seem particularly relevant. For what? Hypothetical situations that don't have anything to do with the OP? This is evidence you didnβt really go to college, or had no social life if you did. College students βpregameβ. Itβs cheaper than buying alcohol in stadiums. And the drinking continues well past the game.

People are still going to use the drugs anyway. All you're saying is that we ought to let them die before they even have a chance to change their minds. That's not love of any type. Night.

Or maybe a group of people that hate gays actively sold drugs that were tainted in some way, to increase the statistic of increased overdose calls during the gay pride event. In essence, selective poisoning. Not all calls were confirmed as drug overdoses, either. Some may have been other illnesses that initially looked like a drug overdose. I really am tired of certain posters who constantly post about the badness of LGBTQ+ people. They cherry-pick incidents to make it seem more evident that 'badness of LGBTQ+ people' is rampant, when in reality, there is a very low occurrence of these incidents. And the evidence is never questioned. They can show a correlation, but cannot prove causality. How about not taking drugs. You can be homosexual but you don't have to be a dopehead. Thatβs so rich, coming from youβ¦.

Absolutely. Naloxone brings people back from the DEAD, it doesn't actually prevent them dying. Glad to know you have not been addicted to drugs or alcohol, so you clearly cannot talk from personal experience.
